From chaos
to predictability
I help manufacturing companies put planning in order, so departments pull in the same direction, inventory stops growing out of control, and decisions rest on facts rather than on who shouts loudest.
The chaos that costs you
Typical symptoms of missing integrated planning in a manufacturing company
Every department plays its own game
Sales promises dates without checking capacity. Production does its own thing. Purchasing buys "just in case". No single plan, no shared language.
Inventory grows, yet something is always missing
The warehouse is bursting, cash flow suffers, and the customer is waiting for the one thing you don't have. You run inventory reduction drives, and it grows back within a quarter.
Constant firefighting
Priorities change daily. Whoever shouts loudest jumps the queue. The plan exists in theory only.
KPIs are a Tower of Babel
The same terms mean different things in every department. Everyone is right. And no one is. Meetings end without decisions.
Paweł Birecki
18 years in operations planning. I started in corporations (Volvo, UTC Aerospace Systems, XEOS) and today I work as an independent consultant. I've implemented processes and run projects in 9 countries: some remotely, coordinating multinational teams; some on site, directly with people on the shop floor and in meeting rooms.
I specialise in S&OP/IBP, production planning and inventory optimisation. In practice the goal is always the same: synchronise decisions across departments and turn planning into a management tool, not a ritual with slides.
How I work
- Understand the problem first, solve it second. I don't arrive with a ready-made template. I start with a diagnosis.
- KPIs should support decisions, not exist for their own sake.
- No corporate speak. Straight talk and honest feedback.
- If I'm not the best fit for your problem, I'll say so and point you to a better option. Even if that's a competitor.
